Dark Sky Brewing founded the nonprofit Dark Sky Community in 2021. The organization is designed to serve as a vessel for supporting and promoting other nonprofit organizations in their Flagstaff home as well as across the Grand Canyon State.
The Dark Sky Community launched into the stratosphere, with the intent of making a difference in the world— starting in their own backyard. Seeing how difficult the past few years have been for individuals and communities alike, Dark Sky Community works to create fundraising opportunities through events in conjunction with Dark Sky Brewing Company and its community partners. The desire is to provide a platform for local charities to gain greater exposure and increase their capacity to access funds, using craft beer and local food to connect a local galaxy of philanthropy.
Raising More Than Just Glasses!
In just a couple of trips around the sun, Dark Sky Community has raised more than $420,000 for causes close to our hearts. These causes include support for schools and education, first responders, animals, diversity and inclusivity, human services, and so much more. The fundraising goes directly to local organizations such as 988 Lifeline, Lowell Observatory, The Arboretum, Flagstaff Pride, AZ Helping Hands, High Country Humane, Mountain Girl Dog Rescue, the Eric Marsh Foundation, SAMFund Scholarships, and Arizona Brain Food.
